“We had an excellent time with our guide Gimhana. Compared to another safari we did in Wilpattu, our experience was so much more relaxed. We did the four hour safari and Gimhana was excellent at pointing out different animal species, and getting into good positions for photos while being respectful of the animals’ space. We found him very considerate; making sure we were ready to move on from a stop before going etc. We also saw lots and lots of elephants, which all seemed very happy to get close up to the jeep!”

“Rather than Kaudulla we went to Hurulu as recent rains meant the elephants had travelled. We were incredibly lucky and saw nearly every Elephant in the park — more than 20. First we saw a lone male, at one point we saw 10 together. Our guide was amazing and so considerate of these lovely animals. He has great knowledge of elephant body language, when they were unfussed and when they would like peace. Often it was just our jeep with the Eles. If it looked like more than two other parties or a large party were around, we didn’t stay. He was great at finding them in the vast park.…”

“We only had a short time in Sigiriya so this was a great way to see a couple of the main sites in 1 day. Got picked up at 8.30, dropped off around 5pm. Polonnaruwa was incredible, so well preserved & our guide took us round in the jeep/ waited while we explored. There was also an option to rent bikes & cycle around. We then went to Minneriya & saw perhaps 100 elephants over 2 big groups. Our driver answered lots of questions & was an incredible experience.”

“We went to Minneriya National Park and saw at least 20 to 30 elephants, we also saw water buffaloes, monkeys, deers, different birds and even an eagle. Guide was very knowledgeable and I could see he was making a real effort to show us as many animals as possible. Guide was a bit late at pick up but then we just got dropped off 20 mins later which was fine, since he was quite a good guide. Park entrance was an extra 11000 on top per person and in cash but we were informed of it the night before so we managed to get some money out. Great experience!”
