“We had an excellent time with our guide Gimhana. Compared to another safari we did in Wilpattu, our experience was so much more relaxed. We did the four hour safari and Gimhana was excellent at pointing out different animal species, and getting into good positions for photos while being respectful of the animals’ space. We found him very considerate; making sure we were ready to move on from a stop before going etc. We also saw lots and lots of elephants, which all seemed very happy to get close up to the jeep!”

“We went on safari for first time on this island and that was GREAT EXPERIENCE!! Everything was amazing I even like Udawalawe safari more than Yala, I got much more positive emotions with it. The only problem was crazy european women that came with child on safari that was awful. This woman complained and whined the entire trip that her husband didn’t have enough space on the bus. You should ban bringing children on safari — it’s very nerve-wracking and prevents people from fully enjoying the experience.”

“The day out was amazing. The driver at the safari was knowledgeable and told us lots about the animals we saw. We were able to see water buffalo’s, loads of elephants, crocodiles, monkeys, eagles, peacocks and chameleons. He was able to spot animals that we would definitely have missed if he hadn’t pointed them out. The driver who took us there and back from Mirissa was efficient and friendly.”
