“The safari experience was ok but little advantage in doing the whole day safari as you do not get the full golden hours experience late in the afternoon. The experience is as per other reviews ie jeeps queuing and taking it in turns to glance at the animals. If you have been on previous safaris in other countries you might wish to consider giving this a miss. Expensive for activity in Sri Lanka”

“Such an amazing experience and would definitely recommend! Our guide Harindra was brilliant and even brought coconuts and pineapple for us to have. He was able to spot the most amazing animals. “Rather than Kaudulla we went to Hurulu as recent rains meant the elephants had travelled. We were incredibly lucky and saw nearly every Elephant in the park — more than 20. First we saw a lone male, at one point we saw 10 together. Our guide was amazing and so considerate of these lovely animals. He has great knowledge of elephant body language, when they were unfussed and when they would like peace. Often it was just our jeep with the Eles. If it looked like more than two other parties or a large party were around, we didn’t stay. He was great at finding them in the vast park.…”
